Sizes is an Usborne First Learning book. It is a 24-page book by Jenny Tyler and Robyn Gee and designed and illustrated by Graham Round. The book is written with consultant advice from Gillian Hartley and John Newson of the Child Development Research Unit at Nottingham University. The Usborne First Learning Sizes book is for an adult and child to use together. Its aim is to help young children develop their ideas about comparison and measurement, which will give them an important base for later mathematical understanding.

The Usborne First Encyclopedia of Seas & Oceans is an excellent book for children ages 8 years and up to learn more about the seas and the oceans. The book measures 8 1/2 x 10 7/8 inches and has 64 pages of fascinating facts and information. The book is so great that it earned the 2002 Austin Young Engineer’s Book Award for Grade 3-6 Resource Books. This Usborne First Encyclopedia of Seas and Oceans is Internet-linked. It is also sold through Scholastic Publishing company even though it is an Usborne book.
