Dinosaurs
August 20th, 2010Dinosaurs is a cute board book for toddlers by Bénédicte Guettier. The book is published by Kane Miller and sold through Usborne Books at Home. Dinosaurs book measures 11.5 x 8 inches, has 16 pages and is great for toddlers ages 0 - 3 years old.
From Diploducus to Compsognathus, these hungry dinosaurs are waiting for you! Sound effects are optional, but "Crunch" is always a good one.
This colorful and sturdy board book with a circle cut out for a child's (or adult's) face is just about the best, most original way to introduce books - and dinosaurs - since the Jurassic period!

October 21st, 2009Who's Hiding? by Satoru Onishi is a multi- award winning book for babies and toddlers. Sharp-eyed youngsters will have fun with this search-and-find picture book. Eighteen simply drawn, brightly colored animals are laid out in the same order on each spread. A rear view is laid out on the endpapers. The first spread shows the creatures and their names and asks, Who is hiding? The next spread shows all of them except for the reindeer who is invisible except for his antlers. This question alternates with others, with sometimes one figure disappearing and other times with more than one change occurring. The next question is, Who's crying? It's the rabbit who is frowning and shedding a tear. Who's angry? is not quite as clear cut, but is identified in the answer key as the scowling blue bear. This is a clever puzzle book for caregivers and young children to share and to learn animals, colors, concepts.
