Stories of Fairytale Castles
Do you like fairy tales? This is a great book called Stories of Fairytale Castles by Anna Lester and illustrated by Maria Cristina Lo Cascio. It is part of the Usborne Young Reading series of books. This is hard back book that measures 5 3/8 x 8 inches. It has 48 pages and is great for children ages 7 years and up.
In the world of fairytale castles, anything can happen. There's an invisible castle with guests turned to stone. A handsome prince who needs help from a castle ghost. And a contest to see who can build the most amazing castle of all. The colorful illustration on each page is just wonderful and very attractive to children.
There are three stories in this book. The first one is called The Invisible Castle. The second is called The Haunted Castle and the last is called The Castle Contest.
The Invisible Castle
This is about a beautiful, kind and very generous young girl called Flora. Yes, one day she stumbled across an invisible castle. Read about how Flora broke the spell that was cast on the castle, the prince and all his guests.
The Haunted Castle
The story is about a maid called Sally. She wanted to marry the prince, Prince John. All princesses who came to the castle were not in love with the prince. They just wanted to live in the beautiful castle. The cook and Sally then came up with a plan to make them think that the castle was haunted so that they would leave. But the castle turned out to be really haunted. Read the story and find out what happened next.
The Castle Contest
This is a story about a king and queen who lived in a run-down castle. They needed a new one built so they held a contest. The winner would win a chest of gold. Lots of people entered the contest and the king picked the design submitted by the baker. But, that castle was made of food, bread, fruits, and so on. So, soon birds and other animals came and ate up the castle. Another contest was held but it too turned out to be disastrous. William Shakespeare
The Usborne Book, William Shakespeare, is in Series 3 of Usborne Young Reading which combines good stories with easy reading text. It is great for children ages 8 years and up. The book measures 5 3/8 x 8 inches and has 64 page.
