Usborne Book of Famous Women

The Usborne Book of Famous Women, from Nefertiti to Thatcher, is currently out of print but you can still buy the Famous Women Puzzle from the Usborne Books website. It is even on sale. Famous Women Puzzle is a 550 piece color jigsaw puzzle that can be turned into a game as well as puzzle. It comes with an answer key that provides clues and answers to the questions in the puzzle and suggestions for game play. A lot of information provided by the Famous Women Puzzle come from the Usborne Book of Famous Women by Richard Dungworth and Philippa Wingate, designed by Linda Penny and illustrated by Nicholas Hewetson. The maps in the book are by Jeremy Gower.

This book is an essential guide to the women who have changed our world. From spies to fashion designers and scientists to actresses, photographs and detailed illustrations bring to life the thrills and exploits of heroines throughout history. It is great for children between the ages of 9 and 12  years old. There is a lot to read and it is a great quick reference book for anyone of any ages. It is a great history book.
