You might have heard of Usborne Books, Usborne Books and More or Usborne Books at home - they are all the same company, part of a larger company called Educational Development Corporation or EDC for short. EDC is a publicly traded corporation listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol EDUC. I am an independent consultant with Usborne Books. Let me tell you a little bit about EDC and Usborne Books.

Educational Development Corporation currently has two divisions:

1) The Publishing Division
2) The Home Business Division

The Publishing division distributes Usborne books to:

bookstores
toy stores
museums
specialty stores
retail stores

The Home Business Division distributes book to independent consultants (like me) to sell directly through:

home shows
direct sales
book fairs
websites
schools and
libraries

So, even though a lot of Usborne books are sold by Usborne Books consultants, you might find some titles sold in book stores such as Borders, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
